I'm so excited!

:boogie: :squee: I ordered some new furniture for the 2nd bedroom as I'm converting it into mine and Jeff's study/reading/relaxation room. I have every piece - 4 pieces arrived this morning - and I'm only waiting on one final piece. As soon as the sofa/lounger arrives, that room shall be complete. With exception to the minor knickknacks and a few paintings I want for the walls.

Jeff and I both quit smoking. It's been 3 months and 9 days so far. I've been using my pent up energy and nic fits to paint the apartment and whip this place into shape! Aside from nicotine build up, the walls of our apartment had been painted an ugly antique white. It was a pukey color to begin with. So I've painted everything pure bright white. It looks so sharp now! All I have left in the painting department is to do our bedroom, the closet in the 2nd bedroom, and the kitchen cabinets. I should be finished by the end of this month. I'm trying to get done before technical begins at least.

Once I have everything finished, I'll snap pics of the place. I'm rather proud of it actually, mainly because I bought and paid for all of the furniture myself. Jeff understood it was something I had to do on my own and that meant using "my own" money to do it. Obviously it's "our" money and I see it that way, but I used money out of my paychecks to pay for it all. I hope that makes sense and those of you here who know me and my past probably understand that.

Anyways -- the place is looking real nice and yes, I cried when Jeff put the kitchen table and chairs together. It meant that much to me that we have a kitchen table and chairs. I know, I'm a sap.

It is something to be happy and proud of, you aren't a sap at all. :) I grew up without a lot of things people just take for granted [running water as an example] so I too can get really 'sappy' when I achieve certain milestones other just assume are part of life.

Congrats hun. Great job!
